PA46 Instructor Pilot - Piper Malibu Series

Full-Time or Part-Time position based Houston, Texas

We are seeking a flight instructor candidate (CFI, CFII, MEI) with experience in Piper PA46-series aircraft, including the Piper Meridian. Minimum 100 hours time in PA46-series aircraft (500 hrs time in type preferred).  Candidate must be proficient at operations in these aircraft and possess the ability to teach clients who are transitioning to these aircraft. Job requirements include course development, ground and flight instruction, pilot services, and various administrative duties. Glass cockpit experience required.

Instructor will be expected to work with clients in the greater Houston area as well as travel to clients throughout the country. The primary aircraft will be PA46-series aircraft (Piper Malibu, Matrix, Mirage, Meridian, M350, M500, M600), however, the instructor will be expected to train clients in a variety of high performance aircraft. 

Applicants must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills and be capable of catering instructing methods to a variety of customer types and personalities. Strong presentation skills and/or courseware development experience is desired. Travel opportunities exist throughout the US. Applicant must be flexible and enjoy the opportunities to explore the US in a variety of aircraft while providing top-notch instruction to clients.

Qualifications:

  • ​FAA Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument - CFI, CFII, (MEI preferred)
  • 1st or 2nd class medical
  • 1000 hours total flight time
  • 500 hours dual given
  • 100 hours in PA46-series aircraft (500 preferred)
  • 100 hours in G1000 and/or Avidyne glass cockpit aircraft
  • Actual instrument experience
