Flight Instructor CFI, CFII - Cirrus SR22, Cessna TTx, Garmin G1000, Garmin G2000

Job Summary

Full-time flight instructor position based in Conroe, Texas (North Houston area). Position includes flying, instructing, and related administrative duties.

Aviation Experience

Instructor must have relevant instructing experience in high performance and glass cockpit airplanes. Primary responsibilities include providing flight and ground instruction to aircraft owners:

  • Cirrus SR20, SR22, SR22T
  • Cessna TTx, Cessna Corvalis TT, Columbia 350 & 400
  • Cessna 182, 206
  • Avionics training on Garmin Perspective, Avidyne, Garmin G1000, and Garmin G2000 avionics systems.

Position will involve planning and executing flight training missions for initial, transition, and recurrent training using scenario-based training techniques and a detailed factory-approved syllabus.

Interpersonal Skills

Applicants must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills and be capable of catering instructing methods to a variety of customer types and personalities. Strong presentation skills desired.

Travel Opportunities

Travel opportunities exist throughout the US. Applicant must be flexible to travel while providing top-notch instruction to clients.

Houston-Area

Instructor will be responsible for travel to local Houston-area airports including our offices in Conroe, Texas, and Sugar Land, Texas.

Travel Outside of Houston Area

The cost of any travel outside of the Houston area will be paid for by HPA. Instructor will be provided with company credit card for travel expenses.

Qualifications:

FAA Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument - CFI, CFII (MEI preferred)
1st or 2nd class medical
800 hours total flight time preferred
500 dual given preferred
Actual instrument experience
Cirrus and/or Corvalis/TTx experience preferred
